Louisiana Crawfish Festivals March 24th Weekend

There are many things Louisiana is known for, among them is the delicious food found in all corners of the state. Each Spring is welcomed with the scent of crawfish boils filling the air. This weekend is no exception as crawfish season is in full swing.

Kicking of our South Louisiana Crawfish weekend is the Louisiana Crawfish Festival in Chalmette, Louisiana. Located just East of New Orleans, this annual event is in their 47th year and showcases musical talent, carnival rides, and of course- Crawfish. Tickets can be purchased at their website.

On Saturday, March 25th,  Marrerro, Louisiana will host the 21st annual Louisiana Crawfish boil. Marrerro is located just across the Mississippi River from New Orleans and just a short drive from Chalmette. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and allows you to sample all the crawfish you can eat. With over 40,000 pounds of crawfish boiled by 60 teams, you can bet you’re get more than enough.

If you still haven’t had your fill of crawfish, head over to the World Championship Crawfish Etoufee Cook-off. Located on the border of St. Landry and Acadia Parishes, the city of Eunice will host the 36th annual Crawfish Etoufee Cook-off on Sunday March 26th from 10am- 4pm.
