This weekend Abita Springs is having a Busker festival. This celebration of street musicians is entering their 12th year of this annual event. Busker Festival hosts many of the areas finest street performers who play for tips. The Busker Festival is free to the public but parking can be a challenge so get their early and often. Before spending a day chillaxin in the park listening to the amazing street musicians, head over to Hammond for some pirate fun. Located at the Louisiana Renaissance Village, the Pirates of the Pontchartrain will have three days of Carribean fun. Though you may want to keep an “eye out” for the Pirate Arrrrmy. If you’re over in the Acadiana Parishes, check out the Cajun Woodstock happening this weekend at Church Point city park. Tickets are $5 and features plenty of music, a Rice & Gravy cook-off, a poker run, live auctions, and more! Make sure to bring your ID’s as they will be required.
